This is an intact run of 100 paper decimal 20 dollar notes.
The Fraser Cole twenty dollar notes were first released into circulation in August 1991, and were replaced by the Fraser Evans paper twenty dollar notes in December 1993 - this makes them at least 31 years old.
Most folks in the general public and even many collectors overlook the rarity of notes such as these due to the fact it seems like only yesterday they were in circulation. Try chasing some down in UNC condition though, and it's a different story altogether! Although a lot of people hoarded the low denomination notes, very few had the wealth to be able to keep aside runs (let alone bundles!) of the higher denomination notes in perfect condition.
This is just the third bundle of paper $20 notes we've handled in the past 5 years. Each and every note in this lot is crisp and natural, as the images show the outer few notes do have a few light flicks evident on them.
