This collection includes 57 uncirculated $2 coins from 1988 - 2022.
The Australian two-dollar coin, introduced on 20 June 1988, was designed to replace the two-dollar note, which had a short service life due to high usage.
These coins were only released in mint sets in 1991, and in low numbers in 1993, therefore are not included in this collection.
Over the years, the Royal Australian Mint has issued various commemorative two-dollar coins to mark significant events and anniversaries.
Some two-dollar coins have become particularly valuable to collectors. The 2012 Red Poppy coin, for example, is highly sought after and can fetch prices significantly above its face value.
For a comprehensive overview of Australian two-dollar coins, including their designs and mintages, you can visit the Royal Australian Mint's official website.
