There's a lot of variety in the world of silver bullion in the 21st century, we regularly see bullion made by refiners that span the entire globe.
A rash of non-government refiners have arisen in the past ten years, and although not all of them are LBMA-accredited, they have the confidence of much of the bullion-buying public across the world.
These private mints and refiners will primarily manufacture basic silver ingots that trade for a tiny fraction over their metal value, while some make what are known as “art bars” - ingots that have a wide range of kitschy designs.
