Although there a number have been held in Australia in 2013, the Noble Numismatics sales are always topical due to the breadth and quantity of the material they offer.

The International Auction Galleries Auction 77 was held on the Gold Coast towards the end of March, and even though there were “only” less than 700 lots, the sale was certainly worth taking note of.

A sizeable auction of world banknotes was held in London in the first part of December 2012, in it were several rare Australian notes, the prices of which should be of some interest to Australian banknote collectors. World Banknote Auction 12024 was held by Spink Numismatics in London on December 13th, 2012.
