AUSTRALIA 2002 FIVE DOLLAR UNC THREE COIN SET Manchester Commonwealth Games

An affordable memento from the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

The 2002 Commonwealth Games were held in Manchester, England from July 25 to August 4, 2002.

This was the largest multi-sport event ever to be held in England, eclipsing London's 1948 Summer Olympics in numbers of teams and athletes participating.

Australia's athletes did the nation proud, ending up with 207 medals in total - 82 of them gold! Ian Thorpe also set a world record in the 400 metre freestyle swimming at these games.

These solid aluminium bronze coins come in the official full-colour presentation case.

The coins in the set are in mint condition, as is the presentation case and outer cardboard box. The set is accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
